My Heart Operation (140 views)
On February 10, 2021 I went to the hospital to have a Heart Cath procedure to install some stents to clear the blockages in my heart. But after only a few minutes my Surgeon decided that stents would not be enough to solve my problem, so he had me admitted into the hospital to have an Open Heart Operation. The next day the state of Arkansas was hit by an Ice Storm & then a Snow Storm came through, needless to say they delayed my operation till the road crew could clear the roadways for my Surgeon to arrive to the hospital. Once the operation finally began on the 15th, I was in the operating room for 8 hours. I had a Five Bypass operation and the surgeon found out that both of my legs need surgery to remove the blockage in my leg veins as well but not going to do the operation till I recover from my heart surgery.

I'm still hurting from my surgery, had another ECHO & stress test done last Monday. Stress was ok but my Heart Specialist has scheduled an appointment for us to discuss my Echo test results. -DearJohn (14-Aug-21)

Here it is almost 7 months after my surgery, and in some ways I feel better but in other ways I'm hurting really bad. -DearJohn (4-Sep-21)

Here it is almost 11 months after my surgery and so far I still haven't the operation to clear the blockage in my legs. The surgeons feel my heart isn't strong enough to go through another surgery. -DearJohn (29-Dec-21)

Starting the first of June I was enrolled into Medicare by SSA. I wasn't given a choice, there's a lot things about it that I don't understand but I'll navigate my way through it eventually. -DearJohn (19-Jun-22)

Hello -DearJohn (19-Jun-22)

03/21/2023 I was informed that beginning April 1st 2023 the Covid Emergency Act ends, which means that anyone who was getting Medicaid through this Act will no longer be eligible to receive Medicaid. -DearJohn (25-Mar-23)
