The woman who never took off her wedding dress is my wife

I saw a bright light. As bright as it was, nothing beats the glow of her beautiful dress. I was always drawn to it ever since she showed it to me days before the wedding.
All I remember was my brother driving me to her. I yearned to look at her face and start my days as a married man. I was interrupted by this bright light out of nowhere. People always say they see a light when they die but I wasn't dying. I'm on my way to the happiest day of life.
The light slowly faded as I got closer. I looked around and called out for my brother but heard no answer. The car is not there. Nothing is there. Only me. Is this one my brother's pranks? Did he take me someplace else? I hope he shows up and tells me this is a silly prank that he had planned. But he never showed up.
I didn't recognize this place at all. I had no idea how to get to the wedding party from here. I kept having these weird visions as I was walking around. My brother in a wheelchair. My beautiful Pauline sleeping. What's weird is that she was in her wedding dress. My parents selling our dream home. Selling our home? How could they? I was on my way.
I hurried up before things could get worse but I couldn't seem to recognize my surroundings. Tried to make my way home and go from there. After hours of walking, I finally got home. Nobody was there. They must all be terrified by now, I thought. She must be. Thinking that I bailed on her. My beautiful Pauline, I begged for her to wait a bit longer.
I ran into my room to find my car keys and that's when it hit me. Her picture on my bed. I went to pick it up and was hit with the memory of our blood oath.
?The first to die comes and takes the other as soon as they can?
Oh, Pauline. Even though people laughed at the idea of soulmates, She and I were the sole proof of it. We knew in each other's hearts and didn't need to explain ourselves to others. I knew then and there where I was. The bright light. The visions. I didn't need my car keys. I just needed to find her. Now that vision of her sleeping in the dress made sense to me. My soul mate knew what had to be done. I swore that I'd be there for her. For us.
I wasn't aware of how much time had passed. As soon as I made it to her house, I knew I had to find her before she lost hope. She would no doubt, be in her dress, waiting for my late arrival. I looked through all the windows and found no sign of her. I missed the bathroom window. I went running and looked through it. There she was. Taking a bath. In the dress. Waiting for a glimpse of me to take her away.
I tried getting in but something was blocking me. It's like I had no permission to be there. Then I saw it. It was her friend that I had weird thoughts about. Her being there had baffled me. She had a weird smile on her face. A smile that if Pauline saw, she surely wouldn't still be there with her. I yelled out to her with a muted voice. Knocked on the window to wake her up but my knocks produced no sound. She was drowning her right before my eyes.
She dragged her outside and came back fro something. She finally reappeared with a drill in her right hand. I wondered how we let such evil into our lives. I knew that as long as she was there, I could not approach my wife. She drilled the first hole into her back and I swear I could see Pauline fighting to get up. After the first hole, she started on the second one and her body was still. She broke our blood oath. That's when my brother's voice startled me.
"We're here, just took a little detour if you don't mind."
I could still hear the drill as I entered the wedding ceremony. Everyone was looking around with fear in their eyes. They said they couldn't find her anywhere. Pauline wasn't there. And neither has her friend.
