How do you explain to a 6yr old why his mom abandoned us.
Hello my name is L. I'm a single parent and my son's mom left us when he was 2. Long story short her and my family didn't get along and she ultimately left because of it. I tried keeping in touch with her.. I tried sending pics and vids over the last 4 yrs only to get back little to no reply from her. My son is now 6 going on 7 here in a few months and he's asked twice about his mother this past year.. But today he figured out that well.. He figured out his real mom (And I say real mom because he had been calling my mom.. mom too.) abandoned us. How do I explain to a 6 yr old what happened? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
