Is there an issue with the site operating off an Opera Mini browser? I, several times a day, get a "server timed out" msg when surfing this site. At first, I thought it was the browser....but it works fine with several other sites I go to....only this one gives me issues.....and when I switch to another browser, I have no issues. But, Im used to the Opera Mini...

We haven't changed anything and no one else has reported "server timed out" issues, so that makes me think the issue is with Opera Mini's servers since they transcode websites through their servers.

You don't need the Opera Mini browser to enjoy Dating.mobi as it's already designed for mobile phones. In fact, I've designed it in such a simple way that it should even work on old phones, while being particularly fast on modern smartphones.

When a browser transcodes sites, you add another layer of potential failure and unpredictability. If there's something that's not working correctly on a normal mobile browser, then I need to know about it so that I can fix it. Opera Mini shouldn't be the answer as it's an older browser intended for old phones (hence why it transcodes and minimizes sites) and not many people use it.

@Andres: But Im old and used to the Opera mini lol!

Thanks though....Ill download the regular Opera Browser and used try it with compression turned off and see if that makes a difference. Again though, I still have zero issues with other sites when using the Opera Mini....but Ill play around with other browsers and see what I like.

I doubt you use other sites as much as this one, so your sample size on other sites is too small to draw any conclusions! :) If you need a new browser and your phone can handle it, try Google Chrome.
