Living For Me Too (by JLaDawn)
As some of you dinos know I lost my sister, my dearest friend in a head on collision just before Thanksgiving last year. Her. Husband has not been functioning very well since her passing, my 18 yo niece wrote a poem and presented it to her dad recently on my sises birthday. It was truly a turning point in his grief. I am going to share it because it is just sooooo beautiful and may have meaning to anyone else that has lost a loved one......
I sit up here in Heaven
And watch you waste your life
Wishing I could touch your face
And tell you it isn't right
Even though you cannot see me
I see you everyday
If only I could let you know
I never went away
I smile whenever you do
And everytime you shed a tear
I cry a little too
I hear you when you say you miss me
So I gently whisper it back to you
And when you think "I love you"
I feel it here times two
Please don't wish your life away
Or feel guilty when you laugh
Even though I wish that I was there
You know that I can't come back
You're not just living your life for you
You're living for me too
Then one day we'll be here together
Having both our dreams come true!
