What do you do if a girl you don't like is persistent with her approaches?

How do you handle girls who keep asking you out even after you politely turn them down more than once? What is your threshold before you resort to rudeness in order to shake her off? I would be polite to her on the first three times, but by the 4th time I would tell her straight up that I find her repulsive and annoying.
I'm sure some of you had encountered a girl that can't take no for an answer. In my opinion a girl who keeps on annoying you is selfish and thus has a lousy character.
On a side note I only try asking out the same girl twice.
